Don’t I remember this burner from that graffiti book I carried like a bible back in like 7th grade 1989ish. Thanks for the flash back! That’s f-ing dead on!
Thanks Fellas. I was fortunate enough to be a part in the 70s era of New York City Subway Art. Dondi was one of a kind both artistically and personally. DSEL, I remember the first time I seen this piece it rolled through the Chambers Street Station, passed in the express train center track of the station about 50 miles an hour, I was on My way to work, the color explosion at high speed woke me right the fuck up that morning! lol I have seen some classics, Lee, The Fabulous Five did some serious whole car murals too. There are so many greats to come out of N.Y.C. When it all came to an abrupt end Train-wise, it was odd seeing trains rolling clean, like twilight zone odd!
