I strike a horizon line and start blending earth and sky colors.
Depending what that comes up with I choose what resembles the land scape for a scene idea. Then I sillouette something. Its easier than drawing something for me. Then an idea comes to mind for a scene.
Most everything is off the cuff, no real plan.
Your work looks very detailed, but I'm guessing its more of a free flowing creation as your mind flows with your pen.
